The National Writing System Act

Declaring Baybayin as the National Writing System of the Philippines, providing for it protection, preservation, promotion and conservation.

The bill is all about promoting baybayin by means of:

​

1. Requiring all local manufacturers to inscribe baybayin scripts and its translation on the packaging of locally produced products.

2. Ordaining to use the baybayin scripts in signages for street names, public buildings and public service establishments such as fire and police stations, hospitals, government halls and community centers.

3. Mandating all magazine and newspaper publishers to insert their official name with its baybayin translation

4. Disseminating reading materials in both public and private institutions in all levels to promote awareness of the proclamation of Baybayin as the national writing system.
